is a center of innovation of the Computing, Information and Communication
Division (DCIC) of the Tecnológico
de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey ,
in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. It is focused, since its fundation in 1992,
to the management of Knowledge- based value systems.

Education
- KM
Specialization Program (Chief Knowledge Officer - CKO) since 1998,
the first graduate program of its kind registered in the world (10
master courses).
- Delivery
of KM courses throughout Tec's Virtual University, reaching nearly
1500 receiving sites in 10 countries.
- Faculty
exchange with other KM programs in Spain and Latin America
- Close
collaboration with the Knowledge Management Consortium International.
Dr. Javier Carrillo, CKS Director, is currently Vice-president of
the KMCI Institute.
- Delivery
of the KM Diploma course in different cities as well as In-Company.
R&D
- Permanent
participation in the International Editorial Committee of the Journal
of Knowledge Management, the Journal of Knowledge and Innovation
and KMCI Press (Butterworth-Heinemann).
- Knowledge
Management Academic Cloister, with research lines on KM´s
main processes.
- Over
60 master and doctoral dissertations on Knowledge Management issues
completed so far by our graduate students.
Social contribution
- Foundation
of the Iberoamerican Society for Knowledge Systems (www.iberoamericana.org).Recently
has been constituted as the Ibero-American arm for Entovation International
(E100)
- Development
and maintenance of the KMetaSite: The Site of Sites on Knowledge Management
(www.kmetasite.org).
- Active
participation in international councils and networks on knowledge based
development.
- Execution
of a Study on Knowledge Management in Mexico (2001).
- Presidency
of the KM Commission of the Mexican Directives Association of Aplied Research
